I've got a special treat for a special post. That's right. You guessed it. A what's-in-my-bag! Everyone loves a good whats-in-my-bag. For some odd reason, we find it really satisying to watch someone spill the inside contents of their bag/purse. It's like looking through someone's drawers or medicine cabinet (Oh, we've all done it). Anyway, I preordered a bag I've been eyeing a few months ago and it's finally here, so naturally, I must show you what I carry on an average day.
Faux Leather Metallic Wallet, H&M- The perfect compact wallet for those who don't like a lot of bulk. It's minimal and lightweight which makes it easy to grab and go. So long to old reciept spewage! (Btw, metallics are all the rage for 2017.)
Daisy Coin Purse- You're probably thinking who the hell still carries coins? Meeee! I love collecting coins. They come in handy. Like when you need to pay for a meter, or when card interest on your school's vending machine is 5%, or when the cashier asks for $2.36. Plus, it's an excuse to use my little vinyl daisy print coin pouch. I swear it's the cutest thing. I'm pretty sure I got it at Chuck-E-Cheese's back in the 90s (If you haven't heard, the 90s are also back).
Cherry and Universal Balm Dotcom, Glossier- Yes, I carry two. The cherry one is slightly tinted, so its perfect for when you want a little color. It smells really yummy too! Like cherry jolly ranchers. I also like to pop what's left after application to my cheeks as a makeshift blush. The universal one is colorless and odorless, so it's great as a basic lip balm and also works great as cuticle salve. You can basically use it anywhere, hence the name Universal. They really are the balm.com!
Lily Hand Lotion, Nature Republic- This lotion seriously smells amazing. It's also really moisturizing. I wash my hands a lot and I can't stand when they feel dry, so I always keep this on hand. I came across this while perusing through Nature Republic in Koreatown and its light lily notes captivated me. My signature perfume also has lily notes, so I fell in love instananeously. Plus, they're 1+1 (English for bogo), so I always have a bunch in stock.
No Man's Land Eau De Parfum Sample, BYREDO- Speaking of things that smell amazing...This fragrance is absolutely #1 on my list. If you've never smelled it, go to your nearest Nieman Marcus and sample it. You'll die, it's so good. I have a friend at school who wears this, and everytime he would walk by, I would get a waft of it. I reiterated how I love it so much, that he fetched me a sample just to shut me up. God bless that man. It's a unisex fragrance, which is great because I really appreciate androgyny as a whole. It's also one of those scents that smell better as the day progresses. It's quite expensive though, so the sample size will have to do. One day, I will bite the bullet and purchase the full size bottle.
Some miscallaneous items:
-Keys so I can get into my apartment, but mostly because of my cherry keychain
-Earphones because it is a New York essential
-Also an essntial, hand sanitizer because New York is filthy
-Portable battery pack because Snapchat and Instagram...nuff said
-Eyedrops because I always have shit in my eyes
-Bobby pins because hair is annoying
-Pick glass for my textiles class
-phone
Young Americans Shoulder Bag, Poppy Lissiman- The star of the show. Inspired by David Bowie's Young Americans, which btw, is an amazing song. It's a small, black bag with rainbow metallic stars sewn onto the front. It's made from a cruelty free faux leather, so that's brownie points in my book. It has a magnetic closure for no fuss access and it's compact while still roomy enough to fit the essentials. I'd say this bag is out of the world.
Well that's the end of this one. Hope it was somewhat enjoyable. Talk in the next one.
Tootles~
